Cooper spent yesterday and last night at the pet hospital and got his surgery done. Everything went really well except for the fact that we really missed him! The nurses all adored him! He was so ecstatic to see us when we picked him up this morning.
Basically they went into his knee and put a screw in to tack the broken bone back on so that the tendon would be secure and his leg would continue to grow properly. They had to shave each leg a little bit because of IVs and blood tests etc so needless to say he looks hilarious!
Here is our little shaven poochie that looks little less than a mangy mutt. We still love him though and are being very careful to help him recover. Don't worry we have a satellite dish for his head if he starts to chew on his stitches!
Peter is so good at taking care of him. I'm not so good with medical/surgical things so I've been a little hesitant to jump in. Cooper just feels so fragile now which has been a little hard to take in.

aaaww...poor little Cooper :( I'm glad he's starting to heal properly now, though! The kids are missing him.
I heard Pete wasn't feeling well! I hope he's doing better. Do you guys need anything?
Kate! Hi! I am so glad you found my blog!! Griffin and i aren't married quite yet! We still have about a month left:) How are you? How is everything? You have a really really cute puppy!! What kind is he?
P-P-P-Poooor little Cooper. It just breaks my heart to see those pics...and I've never even met him. He just looks so fragile. I hope he starts to feel better soon.
