Simpathy from the boys...sigh!

As I've been training for this marathon I've had such a good time getting out and doing my runs in the morning. Yesterday was my first run outside of our complex and I ran around our little tree lined, charmed, mid-western streets. Just as I was finishing out my run and getting ready to go inside I decided to do one more stretch of road.

I should have listened to my body telling I should just stop! Not 15 seconds had gone by before I found myself hurling through the air (Cooper too)and suddenly tumbling back down into a ball that eventually rolled into a nearby tree. What in the world happened?! I still don't even know what tripped me! I hurriedly picked myself up and looked around to find no one watching! Phewph! "Oh wait, theres a little boy over there... did he see me though?" As I walked back over to our house, I just had to pass that little boy. He gave me a big grin and said, "Hello!" Yep, he saw me alright.

What came next seemed to wrap up all of the drama into one huge emotional gush. A big gust of tears was coming but I got a good hold of them. For a little bit anyway. As I walked into our bedroom all Peter could see were the leaves on my backside and the scrapes on my shoulders. "What happened babe?" It was all over from there! I was consumed by the flood I had tried so hard to hold back! Oh my poor MALE husband.

Moments like that are just to keep us humble! When people ask me to name a most embarrassing moment I have no idea what they're talking about... those moments daily make up my life and I love it! We all gotta be able to laugh at ourselves!

Aww...poor Kate! I understand the emotions that seem to get all bottled up and it takes something like this for them to just start flowing, and you can't stop them! I hope your backside and shoulders aren't too beat up! I must say though...I got a good laugh out of your story =) Love ya, Kate!
